How Cultural Humility Drives Connection-centered Conflict Resolution (Part 1 of 2)


Description : When disagreement or tension arises, mutual understanding and reciprocity can help us find a productive resolution. In this session we will apply the tenets of cultural humility to increase connection while engaging in conflict resolution and de-escalation. After adapting our own cultural humility model, we will identify ways to apply this model in our classrooms, workplaces, and shared campus spaces. Facilitated by Aura Cazares, Ed.D, Director of DEI and Assistant Dean of Students at Oakland University. Part 1 of 2 sessions: In Part 2 we will practice applying these models and tenets to common scenarios on a university campus.
