Q:Is this degree the same as I would receive attending classes on OU’S campus?
A: Yes, it is the exact same degree. Oakland University and its affiliated offices are accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Institutions of Higher Education.

Q: Can I complete my entire major at Macomb?
A: Yes, Oakland is offering all the necessary classes to complete the Communication major at the University Center. If students have completed the Associate of Baccalaureate Studies (ABS) degree from Macomb Community College, they should be able to complete their entire college education at the Macomb location. For students without the associate’s degree, some coursework at Oakland’s main campus may be necessary in order to complete the university’s general education and distribution requirements. Students are STRONGLY encouraged to work with the Macomb Community College advisers early in their academic career to develop a plan of study.

Q: Are classes taught by Oakland University faculty?
A. Yes, all classes are taught by Oakland Univesity’s communication faculty.

Q: Are day and evening classes available?
A: Yes. Day and evening courses are available though the majority of classes will be offered during the day.

Q: Where is the Macomb location?
A: Macomb’s University Center is located at 44575 Garfield, on the Macomb Community College Center Campus in Clinton Township.

Q: Will I pay MCC or OU tuition rates?
A: You will be earning an Oakland University degree, therefore you will pay Oakland tution rates.

Q: Are advisers available on site?A: Yes, the Communication Program Coordinator for Oakland at Macomb will serve as your academic adviser and will be available for individual appointments.
