Technology

The PUB Administrative Team is committed to assuring that PUB is technologically competitive. Consequently, office technology is maintained at a level that is compatible with the University environment; and educational technology is made available for teachers, tutors, and participants to integrate into the learning environment.

Because of the value of these support tools, PUB does not lend them out. However, while under the supervision of the PUB Team, participants may access the following types of technology in the PUB Resource Center and/or during College Clubs (tutorials) at each target school.

In addition, PUB has access to OU state-of-the-art resources such as science labs, computer labs, and distance learning labs.

There is one situation where technology is not compatible with PUB's mission. Summer Academy residents are not allowed to have cell phones on campus. As a result, they are better able to stay focused in the learning environment and to socialize with individuals who are in their immediate presence.
