Administrative Team

The full-time administrative staff of Project Upward Bound consists of the Project Director, the Academic Coordinator, the Project Advisor, the S.T.A.R. Coordinator, and the Department Secretary. Each of them wears a number of hats:

Geraldine E. Graham - Project Director

The Project Director’s “hats” include business manager, compliance officer, high school principal, personnel and training manager, public relations and general manager and program manager. The Project Director also shares Parent Association coordinator responsibilities with the Project Advisor.

Maxine P. Shawver - Academic Coordinator

The Academic Coordinator is the College Club coordinator, teacher and tutor supervisor, academic resources coordinator, teacher, and assessment and curriculum specialist.

Kecia Jones - Interim Project Advisor

The Project Advisor is an admission officer, adviser, retention coordinator, social/cultural/career programming coordinator, and parent coordinator.

Jackie Sauseda - Department Secretary

The Department Secretary is the office manager, scheduler, receptionist, payroll clerk, database manager, graphic designer…and the list goes on and on.

When funds allow, temporary Project Assistants are hired who may be graduate students serving as programmers, tutor coordinators, or in various other capacities. Work/study students are also hired as Office Assistants.

Together, the full time staff forms a dynamic team that keeps PUB among the best Upward Bound Program’s in the nation!
