This concentration offers a series of courses about (or related to) religion, both Western and Eastern, traditional and contemporary. Course goals include understanding a pervasive human phenomenon in the same scholarly objective spirit as other academic courses rather than seeking to confirm or attack any particular religious point of view. This concentration may not be taken conjointly with one of the minors listed below. However, it may be taken conjointly as part of a modified major (24 credits) in philosophy or with a full major in any other department of the College of Arts and Sciences. Students wishing to make religion the focus of an independent major should contact the program director for further information. Page last updated on February 11, 2008, 10:29 AM.
