For the General Psychology Major

If you are majoring in psychology because you are interested in the subject matter and desire a general liberal arts degree, we suggest that you consider the various content areas in psychology. Select those courses that sound interesting to you. In addition, it is worth considering the series of courses, PSY 415, 425, 435, 445, Seminars in Basic Psychological Processes, Developmental Psychology, Social Psychology, or Individual Differences and Personality Psychology, respectively, offered periodically throughout the academic year. Since different topics courses are presented each term, you should check our schedule for the courses being offered during the upcoming semester. Our curriculum is a very desirable one for you because we offer a wide variety of courses (In fact, the range of courses we offer is just as extensive as that offered by many of the larger universities, such as The University of Michigan (UM), Michigan State University (MSU), and Wayne State University (WSU)), and we give you maximum freedom to choose your own courses. Only three courses (100, 250, and 251) are specifically required for the B. A. degree. After that, it's up to you to satisfy your own interests.
