Safety and Security
An annual security report about campus safety and security statement of procedures and information, including campus crime statistics and information about the Oakland University Police Department and other partners in campus safety initiatives is available online. Information regarding those persons required to register on Michigan's sex offender registry is available on Michigan's Public Offender Registry.
Drug-Free Schools Policy
The Drug Free Schools Policy contains information describing Oakland University's program designed to prevent the use of illicit drugs and the abuse of alcohol by students and employees. It details the harmful effects of drug and alcohol abuse, drug and alcohol counseling, treatment and rehabilitation programs, and University and legal sanctions for violations of university ordinances, local, state or federal laws relating to illicit drugs and alcohol. The policy can be obtained from University Human Resources, 140 North Foundation Hall, Rochester, Michigan, 48309. contains a section titled "Alcohol, Drugs, and Firearms," which explains how Oakland University community members can receive additional information about the Drug-Free Schools Policy.
