Biography Dr. Kubicek grew up in San Antonio TX and moved to Michigan in 1990. He has taught in Ukraine and in Turkey and has an abiding interest in European and Middle Eastern politics. He is married and has two sons that keep him very busy.

Publications Dr. Kubicek is the author of over thirty articles and book chapters. Some of his work has appeared in Comparative Politics, Political Science Quarterly, and Political Studies. He has written or edited three books. His most recent books are The European Union and Democratization (Routledge 2003) and Organized Labor in Post-Communist States: From Solidarity to Informity (University of Pittsburgh Press 2004).
