Oakland University’s Schools of Nursing and Education and Human Services, along with the Detroit-Wayne County Mental Health Agency and the W.K.Kellogg Foundation came to discuss ways to help Metro Detroit children develop healthy minds, healthy behaviors and healthy self-image.
Many students, the general public, health care professionals, pediatricians, school administrators, school and community health nurses, mental health professionals, representatives from non-profit organizations came to the conference to understand the many different forms of mental illnesses, what causes them, the results of an illness and how to help those in need.
A special thank you to all of our prominent speakers for sharing your stories and knowledge on these very important topics.
