Spring break of 2009 offers a unique opportunity for MALS students to travel to China and explore urban and rural life in one of the world’s most fascinating countries. The trip will be led by Professor Shuishan Yu, of Oakland University’s Art and Art History Department. Details on the proposed trip, including destinations and cost, will be available in the fall 2008 semester from either the program secretary, Graciela Osterberg (248-370-2154) or from the program Director, Professor Linda Benson via e-mail at benson@oakland.edu. MALS students returned from their spring 07 study tour of Greek sites with a deeper understanding of Greek art and architecture--and an enthusiastic appreciation of Greek food and culture.
