Program Description |
|
The Department of Counseling offers a Master of Arts degree in counseling for individuals who wish to work in professional counseling roles with children, youths, adults and families in school and community settings. The program can accommodate both full-time and part-time students.

| Requirements for Degree Completion |
| The MA in Counseling requires at least 48 graduate-level credits.
|
|

Accreditation
|
| Oakland University is accredited as a doctoral degree-granting institution by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
In addition, OU's Counseling program is accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP).
