The Far Field Retreat offers writers four days of workshops, readings by faculty and students, an opening dinner at historic Meadow Brook Hall, craft and publishing information, and uninterrupted time to write on the wooded campus of Oakland University. This year’s faculty includes fiction writers Tony Ardizzone and Annie Gilson, poet Jack Ridl, and creative nonfiction writer Anne-Marie Oomen.
