Overview of Scantron

The e-LIS staff has a scanning station set up in 207 Varner that is open to faculty memebers from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday. This setup uses the new Scantron scanner and ParSCORE, ParTest, and ScanBook software for quizzes and exams, course evaluations, and assessments. In order to use the facility, you will need to make an appointment by calling the e-LIS staff at (248) 370-4566.

Also you will need to read the instructions for the type of paper scanning you are planning. Depending on the software you'll be using and the type of activity, quizzes, course evaluations, or assessments, the students will need to fill out different fields before the scanning will be successfull. It will create a lot of extra work for you or your staff if the students don't fill out the fields in the paper forms correctly.

Faculty may use the Scantron machine in 207 Varner Hall to process scantron forms for the following purposes:

• Quizzes and Exams
• Course Evaluations
• Assessments
