Call for Presenters

The e-Cornucopia conference is a technology focused teaching and learning conference. Our attendees want to hear how you are using technology in your fully online, partially online, web-enhanced or traditional classroom.

Presenters from the following areas are encouraged to submit proposals:

  • Higher education faculty
  • Future professors and graduate students
  • Educational technology leaders
  • Instructional designers
  • Instructional technologists
  • Academic administrators
Track 1 - Effective Teaching with Technology
The Effective Teaching with Technology track focuses on applying sound pedagogical practices using technology that enhances student engagement and learning. Presentations in this track may address topics such as:
  • Examples of courses where technology is being used in innovative ways
  • Demonstrations of pedagogical methods that use technology to increase the quality of learning
  • Student engagement and learning using technology
  • Ways of assessing student learning in online courses
  • Effective online and blended learning strategies
  • Improving online course quality
Track 2 - Technology Overview
The Technology Overview track focuses on demonstrating specific technologies that are of interest to faculty, students, and staff. Presentations in this track may address topics such as :
  • Demonstration of emerging online learning tools
  • Demonstration of tools and methods used for peripheral service technologies (like online tutoring / marketing)
  • Demonstration of tools and methods used for tracking student participation and engagement
  • Studies that support the efficacy of specific tools
  • Emerging and next-generation tools
Track 3 - Mobile Applications
The Mobile Applications track focus on how mobile devices and applications are used to enhance the quality of online learning. Presentations in this track will address topics such as:
  • Demonstration of learning applications for mobile devices
  • Examples of how mobile devices are used in an online class setting
  • Studies showing how mobile devices can enhance learning and engagement
  • Applications that can be used across multiple mobile platforms (iOS, Android, Windows Mobile)

Each presentation will be 50 minutes including time for Q & A. Each presenter will be provided with a podium, projector, microphone and laptop. Presenters are offered free registration to the conference.

Presentation proposals must be submitted by Friday April 5, 2013.
