e-Cornucopia.2013: Quality Learning Through Technology

The growth in online programming continues to expand in higher education, motivated primarily by students seeking convenient degree options and by institutions looking to expand their reach. While this expansion has undoubtedly made higher education more accessible than ever before, many question whether the quality of online education is on par with more traditional methods of education.

This one-day conference will explore various ways technology is being used to improve course quality.  The three presentation tracks are Effective Teaching with Technology (Track 1), Technology Overview (Track 2) and Mobile Applications (Track 3).

This year's keynote speaker is Elliot Soloway, Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at University of Michigan. Dr. Soloway will discuss the benefits of mobile technologies, how they enable new pedagogical practices and increase student performance. 

  • Continental breakfast, lunch & afternoon snack will be provided.
  • Participants will be allowed guest access on the campus' wireless internet.
  • If you are unable to attend in person, you may register to attend virtually via Elluminate.
  • Those attending in person will be eligible for door prizes.

Who should attend?
This conference is intended for higher education faculty, instructional designers, instructional technologists, academic administrators, graduate students and anyone who wants to improve the quality of online education.

Mission Statement
The e-Cornucopia Conference supports higher education faculty and staff by offering them the opportunity to experience a wide variety of online teaching applications and pedagogical methods.
