Welcome to the American Chemical Society at Oakland University!

What is ACS?

We are a group of students who enjoy chemistry but may not be chemistry majors. All majors are welcome. Our goal is to try to take up where the classroom leaves off. We are committed to securing the foundations of the student's interest in chemistry. In order to meet our committment, we have set up a wide variety of programs to meet the needs of the chemistry student, whether academic or social. Our office will be open for tutoring, studying, and the use of our chemical reference library. There are also a variety of social and academic events such as tours of local chemical and medical facilities, picnics, sporting activities, special speakers, and research conferences.

If you are interested in becoming a member, please contact us at: (248) 370-2418, stop by our office, 343 Hannah Hall of Science, or send us some email at sa-acs@ouchem.chem.oakland.edu

The Oakland University Student Affiliates Chapter was established April 18, 1966.
