- With the primary focus on regional contemporary art, Meadow Brook Art Gallery features six exhibitions annually, drawing an attendance of 30,000 people.
- Member scientists in the college's Center for Biomedical Research--from OU, Henry Ford Hospital and William Beaumont Hospital--are performing important research on a variety of diseases including cancer, cardiovascular disease, stroke and epilepsy.
- The Women’s Studies program educates the public on the importance of gender equality by hosting several events throughout the year including the Women’s Studies Speaker Forum, the Women’s Issues Forum, and a Women’s Film Festival.
- There are 24 graduate programs offered by the college.
- The Hispanic Outreach Program provides teacher training in English as a Second Language and benefits numerous Hispanic children residing in Pontiac.
- The college hosts the annual Leonard Woodcock Seminar, featuring experts on China’s economy and government, with the purpose of promoting business, educational and research relationships with China.
- The Far Field Writers Retreat, organized by the Department of English, brings emerging writers and noted authors and poets together in an annual on-campus retreat.
- All departments in the college participate in an annual celebration of undergraduate research and performing arts in a day-long event called “The Meeting of the Minds,” in conjunction with UM-Dearborn and UM-Flint.
