Welcome to the College of Arts and Sciences at Oakland University
The college is home to 15 departments and 60 majors and teaches more than two-thirds of all courses offered at Oakland University. The college offers instruction leading to the Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Music, Bachelor of Science, Master of Arts, Master of Music, Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy degrees. In conjunction with the School of Education and Human Services, it offers instruction leading to secondary teaching certification in biology, chemistry, English, history, mathematics and physics and K-12 teaching certification in French, German, Spanish, music, and studio art .
Its distinguished faculty includes world-class scholars and researchers offering college students the opportunity to learn from some of the most prominent educators in their fields.
