Senior Thesis Art Exhibitions. Graduating Studio Art majors will display their work in Senior Thesis exhibitions in the Oakland University Art Gallery in December and April. Student art will also be more informally displayed in the departmental display cases on the third floor of Wilson Hall, and occasionally in other venues as well.
Lectures in Art and Art History. The department sponsors at least two formal lectures during the academic year: the Art and Art History Alumni Lecture and the Fred M. Braun Lecture in Art and Art History. The department also sponsors an informal travel lecture during the winter semester, lectures in conjunction with exhibitions at the Oakland University Art Gallery, as well as other casual presentations. All students enrolled in art history and studio art classes are encouraged to participate in these activities. Announcements will be posted.
