La Pittura is a student organization sponsored by the department. All Oakland University students are invited to become members and to participate in its activities. During the academic year La Pittura organizes trips to museums, gallery tours, video presentations, lectures, and an annual Spring tea. Every April 1, or thereabouts, the students in La Pittura organize Dada Day, when they celebrate found art in the spirit of Marcel Duchamp.
