College of Arts and Sciences Advising
Students majoring in the B.A. program in either Art History or Studio Art are enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences. They should consult the Arts and Sciences Advising office, Varner Hall 221, (248) 370-4567, for information about the following issues, which are a student's responsibility to ensure are fulfilled:

Departmental Advising
It is important for all Art History and Studio Art majors and minors to receive academic advice. Professor Claude Baillargeon is our Chief Academic Adviser. He will help you to understand the intricacies of fulfilling university, college and departmental requirements. Sudents should review their progress with Professor Baillargeon at least once a year. E-mail inquires are acceptable.
Art History and Studio Art majors and minors should make an appointment with the AAH adviser at the same time as their CAS graduation audit to review their departmental records. For problems outside the majors or minors, we recommend that you see an adviser in the College of Arts and Sciences Advising Office.

Graduation Audit
Students should have a graduation audit prior to the final two semesters before the student’s intended completion date. Appointments can be scheduled with an adviser in CAS. Walk-in appointments are also available at the dates and times published on the CAS Web site (http://www2.oakland.edu/cas/advising.cfm). E-mail inquiries are also accepted, with an approximate three-week turnaround.
Especially if students have transfer credits, they should keep careful track of their General Education and College Distribution requirements to avoid unexpected problems surfacing as they are ready to graduate.
Special Needs
If you have a special need you are requested to consult with your professor in his or her office during the first week of class. A special need may involve seating arrangements, note taking, tape recording, examinations, etc. A student with a serious learning or physical disability should also contact the Office of Disability Support Services at (248) 370-3266.
